The gift of summer. Every child deserves it. Whether it’s connecting with nature, discovering their new favorite sport or hobby, or developing those valuable interpersonal skills, there are so many life lessons to be learned at a traditional day or sleepaway camp. Yet, some may not have the means.

#supportSCOPE
SCOPE (Summer Camp Opportunities Promote Education) provides children from underserved communities with life-changing opportunities through the experience of summer camp. The national nonprofit organization funds camp scholarships, called “camperships,” to send children who commit to staying in school to nonprofit, resident camps that empower them to develop to their full potential.
SCOPE ignites the camp passion in individuals, camps, young professionals, and communities to give back to children who truly benefit from similar camp opportunities but whose families simply cannot afford to provide them with these experiences. In particular, our Junior Leaders find their own meaningful ways to #supportSCOPE through service projects such as, assembling dream boxes, fill camp survival packs, bake cookies, design t-shirts, and hold Cycle4SCOPE events. Each initiative represents an opportunity for these young philanthropists to give back in a community that speaks to their heart … summer camp!
SCOPE holds annual spring benefits in the New York and Midwest regions. These events gather summer camp enthusiasts, professionals, and supporters for an evening to #supportSCOPE and give the gift of summer camp to children whose families cannot afford to provide the opportunity.
